OGMA By-Laws
Qualifications for Membership
 
  • Individual must be competent in his profession.
  • Individual should have the interest of the Association in mind and be willing to help in any way to enhance its purpose.
  • Individual must agree to abide by the association by-laws and policies.
  • Individual must have the desire to meet the standards that this Association was set up to uphold.
  • Individual must be willing to give the Association any advise that he might have, that could improve the standard of the Association.
  • Qualifications to include persons employed as professional grounds keepers (example - golf courses, hospitals, parks, cemeteries).
Purpose of Association
 
  • To seek membership from qualified grounds maintenance personnel in and around the Omaha area.
  • To meet at regular intervals in order to discuss problems and to exchange ideas pertinent to the grounds maintenance profession, and to seek new ways of improving this profession.
  • To instill in the members of the Association, a civic awareness and pride in their profession.
  • To solidify the efforts of the members of the Association who through their efforts contribute to the beautification and maintenance of Omaha grounds.
  • To provide a means of displaying the efforts, products, and services of the Association at such civic function as the Association sees fit.
